RRP has designed its plastic core cementing plug to compliment its line of plugs to decrease drill out times. The body of the plug is manufactured using a plastic core with natural/nitrile cover.

 

RRP Conventional Cementing Plug (Aluminum core)

RRP cementing plugs feature five wiper rubber coated aluminum core available in 5” to 20” casing sizes, engineered for strength and dependability down a big hole. The plugs are manufactured in natural/ nitrile rubber with rupture diaphragm at 300psi differential. The operating temperature of the plug is up to 350° F and is PDC (Polycrystalline diamond compact) drillable. These plugs are Compatible with virtually all common fluid systems. The usage of aluminum core in the plugs eliminates distortion from pressure in a deep hole and gives firm support to a long column of cement slurry.

RRP Conventional Cementing Plugs (Plastic Core)

RRP has designed its plastic core cementing plug to compliment its line of plugs to decrease drill out times. The body of the plug is manufactured using a plastic core coated with rubber, which eliminates aluminum and large mass of rubber found in conventional cementing plugs. The plastic core has high tensile strength and possesses a greater compressive strength (30 Ksi) over the aluminum alloy (24 ksi). It can withstand a bottom hole temperatures of upto 250° F for an extended period of time.

Elimination of aluminum and rubber core material in cementing plugs with large crushable plastic core, allows the drill bit to fracture the plastic rather than tear the rubber and aluminum thus significantly reducing drill out times.
